Property tax exemption renewal forms for Senior Citizens, Disability and Agricultural Land are due at the end of February. Any property owner applying for a new tax exemption needs to apply by February 29, 2024

Questions regarding tax exemptions should be directed to the town assessor.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE ASSESSOR OF THE TOWN OF MONTEZUMA, COUNTY OF CAYUGA, HAS COMPLETED THE TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AND THAT A COPY HAS BEEN LEFT WITH THE TOWN CLERK, AT THE TOWN HALL, WHERE IT MAY BE SEEN AND EXAMINED BY ANY INTERESTED PERSON UNTIL JUNE 6, 2024. THE ASSESSOR WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE WITH THE ROLL, AND PROPERTY OWNERS MAY REVIEW SAID ROLL WITH THE ASSESSOR BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, AT THE TOWN HALL ON MAY 4th FROM 8:00 AM TO 12:00 PM, MAY 8th FROM 4:00 PM TO 8:00 PM, MAY 15TH FROM 4:00 PM TO 8:00 PM, MAY 22nd FROM 4:00 PM TO 8:00 PM. THE BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW WILL MEET ON JUNE 6, 2024, AT THE TOWN HALL, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 4:00 PM TO 8:00 PM IN SAID TOWN TO HEAR AND EXAMINE ALL COMPLAINTS IN RELATION TO ASSESSMENTS, ON WRITTEN APPLICATION OF ANY PERSON BELIEVING THEMSELVES TO BE AGGRIEVED.

Congratulations, Dawn Jordan! Dawn’s Montezuma Richmond Aqueduct mural painting won Viewers’ Choice Award at the 2016 Global Mural Conference and Expo in Fairport, NY, September 2016.
