School bills were mailed the first week of September 2017. Any school tax bill questions from property owners should be directed to Town Assessor, Kim Stone-Gridley at the above numbers. 2018 County bills are being printed in December 2017 for mailing.
Property owners who turn 65 by the end of 2018 should apply for the Enhanced STAR exemption by March 1, 2018. STAR is for School Taxes ONLY and does not apply to the County tax bill. Please contact the Assessor to apply for this exemption.
People who did not receive the Basic STAR exemption will be directed to the Department of Taxation and Finance. They are the only agency able to correct the tax bill after it is issued. They are the ones who removed any Basic STAR exemptions from ineligible property owners. All other exemptions can be corrected through the county and the assessor.
