Volunteers Needed

Each year Friends of the Montezuma Heritage Park participate in a State-wide canal event sponsored to do projects in Montezuma Heritage Park.

Our special project for this year will be clearing a trail around the Paper Mill remains to make it safer and more visible to view. Josh Lindstrom from Boy Scout Troop 21 in Auburn is working with the Design Committee to plan the project for his Eagle Scout project.

General cleanup, and staining benches and the lookout deck will also be worked on. The state-wide event is a great way to celebrate Earth Day and is sponsored yearly by Parks & Trails New York.
