Friends of the Park volunteers will be picking up trash and clearing brush on the trails as needed on Saturday, April 23, 2022. The program celebrates Earth Day 2022 in partnership with the New York State Canal Corporation and Parks & Trails New York. This is the 16th Annual Canal Clean Sweep.

Community organizations, service groups, municipalities, and businesses all across the New York State Canal System participate in the Canal Clean Sweep by joining in one of the more than 100 local clean-up activities in Canal parks, along with public promenades, and on Canalway Trail segments in their region.
