Volunteer Opportunities
The Montezuma Historical Society has many opportunities for Volunteers to share their skills and talents. The Society depends upon our dedicated volunteers to assist all of our operations. We would love to have you join us as a volunteer.
Historic Mentz Church is owned by the Town of Montezuma. The Society helps to preserve the church and engages in projects that include general house cleaning duties; cemetery work; interior painting; and general woodworking repairs.
Friends of the Montezuma Heritage Park are helping with brush removal, general clearing and trash pickup along trails that lead to several historic sites in the park. A Heritage Park Design Committee meets on a monthly basis to help plan the park development, events, fundraising, and improvements in the park. New members are always welcome to join the committee.
Montezuma Aqueduct 5K Run/Walk needs volunteers for committee assignments and other duties on the Run/Walk day. More information about the race may be found at www.montezumarun.com
The Board of Trustees meets monthly and members also serve on individual committees to help with activities such as budget planning, fundraising, building maintenance, membership and program planning.
